Hi all.

I never had joystick before so what is the best stick to fly airliners, fighters and all other.For a good price.

A very debatable topic.  I have a Saitek Cyborg 3D (Rumble Force). Its great, does the job, comfortable and if you want to see it and others check out this site - (mine's the second one down from the left):

And just to support the brand, I also have a Saitek, however mine is getting pretty old now - an X8 - 33GU.

It has been flawless in it's own simple way for many years, not a suggestion of problems at any stage - robust and simple.

However, because it won't last forever, and because of recent improvements, I'm following this with interest.

Hi.

I know that you said "joystick"........ but for realism with most General Aviation aircraft and most commercial aircraft (Airbus being the exception) you might want to consider a yoke instead of a joystick.  Most of these aircraft (except very much older GA aircraft and ultralights) utilize a yoke type control.

I have both........ Logitech FF Wingman Exterme 3d and a CH products USB Pro Yoke.  Both are great..... although some feel that the Logitech is problematic (I have had two over the years..... both have been great).  

For flying a fighter type aircraft.... the joystick is the hands down winner.  But for flying civil aviation craft.... the yoke seems to me to be FAR superior and much more realistic.  When combined with rudder pedals...there is no comparison to the ease of takeoff and landings in the "heavy" aircraft.  (Not to say it's totally "easy".  ;) )

For a test for flying an Airbus ....... use the joystick with the left hand like the real pilots do.  If you are not inherently a "leftie"....... a real eye opener.  Not to mention I think most computer type joysticks are set up for "righties".

As they say....... my $0.02 worth.  Your mileage may vary.  Not available in all locations.  Exclusions may apply  ;).

If you want a "left hand" joystick you should look at Saitek's Cyborg sticks. Saitek made it possible for these sticks to be adjusted for most comfortable use...including left hand use.
