GFX vs. Processor

What exactly is more influential on performance?  I'm really confused about all this. :P

I am not sure which is more influential, though there are three components in your Pc : CPU, GFX, Ram. If you skimp on any of these then there will be a bottleneck.

So at the moment my G/card is my bottleneck as my CPU isnt that bad and I have good quality / amount of ram.

Nothing is bottle necking in that system.  If you upgrade 1 part of it the rest will bottle neck.  I would advise a full system upgrade if you are looking for more performance.  It took me ages to save up for my rig but it was worth it.

Scorpion,

Any gaming system is ultimately limited by its graphics card. So, that's the one thing to aim high for. The graphics card will only be limited by a severely inadequate computer, like Dan's.

Dan, your system is perfectly balanced, sell it as such, and get a new one. In fact, your hesitation is the bottleneck.

Funny thing that.... ::)...!
Look at my specs below first... ;)...!
Now...
Notice that I have an AMD XP 2600+ MMX Processor fitted.
Now, every now and again, my system boots up, (with great difficulty), to either a 1275+ or a 1850+ processor, (because of a correct processor recocnition problem).
Surprisingly, the lower processor speeds have little effect on my Frame Rates, the most important thing seems to be the quality of my graphics card and the amount of memory fitted... 8)...!

Cheers all... ;D...!

Paul....I just wish my system would boot-up to my correct processor.... :'(....!
LOL...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.
