ForceFeedBack does the Funky Chicken

Postby HeavyMetal » Sun Jul 25, 2004 8:34 am

Have a Logitech ForceFeedBack WingMan J-Stick.

If I let go of this thing while in flight, it starts doing this funky dance thing. Moving on its own. It moves back and forward by itself really messing up level flight. Is this normal?

P.S  The Missus really got a kick out of it when I hooked  this J-Stick up and it started to twirl and gyrate all over the place by itself.  Gee, I wonder what was on her mind ;D ;D

Sorry guys, didnt see the long thread about the FF above.  By the way, its brand new stick. Bought it yesterday and the rudder moves on its own....

You can always just turn it off (power off) when you want to fly with no hands.  As far i know putting autopilot on also stabilises it.

the problem with the dancing is that you have the return to centre force set too high lower this and create a bigger null zone on the rudder and you should be ok

Does this mean you'll not be flying as much Speedbird, due to the sharing requirements of your new hardware?   :-X
