A brand new Viewsonic VX900 19" Digital multimedia display flat panel monitor :) and ram upgraded to 1.5 gigs

*smiles from ear to ear*

I will say I was going to get the 22" flat panel thin monitor today but my computer desk unfortunately is about 2" too small, so the 19" it is

Nice.

I just ditched my TFT monitor, they cant hit high enough resolutions.  Just got me a Mitsubishi 930SB 19" CRT.  Picture quality is awsome, i deffo prefer it over my tft.  Only thing is its quite BIG lol.  Just got a gig of ram.  Cant seem to get my pc to use more than 700 of it at the moment though lol  ;D

Its amazing the difference adding more ram has done for FS9. I went from an average of 15 to 20 FPS and some stutter, to 30 FPS with no stutter.

*dances happily around his flight sim*

Savas,

While you are running FSim, bring up task manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del) and click the processes tab.

Go down the list to FS9 and see how much memory it is using, You may be surprised.

Then check the performance tab for your total memory usage.

Yup. I got Mother Board Monitor 5.  It records all my temps, memory usage and voltages used.   I played FS a fair bit yesterday max ram used was 689mb or so near on 700.  Though I did notce 400meg of page file space being used still which is a bit strange.  Still havin a gig has definately helped out on the speed scenery loads when panning around plane.

I did run 3dMark01 after installing my 1gig ram, this was upgraded from 512.  It only scored and extra 50points  :(  though after a bit of clocking etc managed to get over an extra 1000  ;D  I managed to raise the FSB from 333 to 364 and keep ram timings of 11.2.2.2
