Good-day all!

Just recently my Saitek X45 has started to make some rather rude noises when moving the stick. Has anyone had this problem?

I shall have to take it apart and see - if anyone has any idea's on how to solve this that would be great!

I'd recommend a touch of silicon grease - I think it's less likely to damage the plastic than any oil-derived lubricant (maybe KY would do the trick, too LOL)

You might find it tricky to find silicon grease - I had to track some down from a plumbing supplies specialist - it is used when joining plastic pipes.

I had this problem. Very annoying. It was "sticky". Whenever I move it I would hear a "moan" from the stick. It also stuck sometimes then released itself only to have my aircraft dive forward or up wards. I adjusted the spring coil pressure but did not seem to work. I also used some silicon grease but by this time I totally converted over to the bundled CH Product Yoke, throttle and pro pedals. If you want to take your joystick apart, here is a nice tutorial.
