I'm getting a new computer soon. Every bit new, check the, "Time for a new system!" thread. I'm going to have all that except for the graphics card... for the graphics card, I'll have what I have right now, a MX/MX 400 Nvidia 64MB. But since I'm going to have the computer ordered within a couple days, I'm not going to be getting the ATI card with it. So if I put this graphics card in the new computer, how different will it be? I know graphics will be crappy, but will the smootheness be good, and loading times much faster? Right now, it takes forever to load something, like FS.

I think you are commiting sacriledge by putting an GF2 MX400 on that rig, it's like Kryptonite!

Very nice choice of system spec, but overkill isn't budget shopping. You could save big money or spend it in other areas if you drop back on the spec to the last current or next cheapest hardware.

A premium price is paid for the latest and greatest, while a fast budget system can be built with the most recent price drops in the most recently upstaged hardware. You'll never see me design a rig with the highest spec, anyone can do that, but to strike a balance between price and performance is a real challenge and more useful in reality.

Anyway, I wish you luck with that great rig, hope you can get it soon.
