Joystick woes

I have a logitech freedom 2.4 joystick which works fine on CFS4 - apat from the throttle. No matter what I do the engine RPM goes back to 15% after a second or less. Calibrate shows that the throttle is sending the right commands, and it works fine in other games. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

Er, umm, the short answer is NO.

Because there is no CFS4 as far as I'm aware.

But if you mean CFS3, maybe your throttle was mapped to the keys and not the stick, it's  a possiblility, try the keys for throttle to check if it works at all.

Make sure the stick's throttle works in another game too, if you have one to try.

If the stick is ok, and it still won't work, try re-installing the game again, then let us know how you went.

OK, so I screwed up! Yep quite right CFS3.
Here's the whole story... The keyboard controls also don't work, mapping is normal, (and even if I switch off the Logitech Profiler, the result is the same), I'v tried un-installing and re-installing twice, I've tried the upgrade, I've tried new device drivers for the joystick. The joystick works just fine with other games.

Nobody else had anything similar?

Ummm...running out of ideas
