Recommend Me Some Cases!

Postby Tchkinjiu » Wed May 12, 2004 9:25 pm

I am looking for a nice case. I would need one with ATLEAST 4 USB ports. And I really don't like the ones that go overboard. I saw one that was decked out like a robot... and nor the see through plastic on one of the sides.
I have a HP right now, and the memory ports a LODGED under the hard drive, and it's a pain to move them. Good thing I haven't moved them in quite awhile, so, also a case that wouldn't conflict with the memory like this.
Also with atleast 2 fans, preferrably 3. I like major companies cases, like Dell, but not exactly. It's a lot to ask, but I'd appreciate some help on this.  :)

Yay, 1000th post of this forum. Anyways... the case has to have some style to it. Anything that looks like a Dell perhaps? or an alienware? Unfortunetly the companies don't sell the cases themselves... grrr... >:(

I quite like the look of the Chieftec Dragon, I should have had my Demonite made in it (shouldn't have got a Demonite at all ::)) - the case which it came in, the Suntek vivid I think has absolutely no ventilation at all! Just one 92mm fan at the back (which they hadn't even put a fan in :o). Not even a ventilation grill in the rest of the case.....

How could they sell a performance PC in a case with no ventilation at all?

Awww well - you live and learn!

This is the case I use. Not sure what brand it is. Has 4 USB ports, two front panel sound jacks, clear side, and lots of room for plenty of new drives and cards. It even has a temperature monitoring feature on the front.

I bought the tricolour side fan from Radio Shack. It has 3 mounts for fans. One on the side and two on the back. I moved the stock side fan to one of the back ones.
