I only said put all sliders up then down, to check if it is a setting within the game. That might narrow it down to a fault outside the game.
Occasionally I see some minor flicker, but this is when everything is trying to render a complex image, particularly after a view change. I attribute my flicker to inadequate overall ability of my machine to process the image, despite being a pretty fast machine. I will also get some nasty flickering if I try to set anisotropic filtering to 8x, but that is due to my particular card I'm guessing. Try dropping your display resolution down and see if the flicker goes away.
Computer BIOS..... Set for 8x AGP? Graphics Window or Aperature set high enough? any onboard video chip disabled? Is the card configured as the primary graphics adapter?
Reload DX9.0b, If it asks for a reboot, then it had a corrupt file, if not, it was probably fine, this won't hurt anything.
Reload your mainboard AGP (GART) driver, you never know. This might be part of a multiple mainboard driver install, so it's best to get the latest from the mainboard manufacturers website.
