I guess I will put this here so that someone will at least maybe respond (and I don't realy know where else to put it). :-[

Someone explain this to me: 4 axis joystick (X,Y,Z & R)
DOes this mean that the stick itself goes up and down to simulate something like a collective, besides having a built in rudder?

Yeah, I've figured out what X,Y, and Z are, but not R myself.

I have a M$ SW Pro which is a standard 4-axis joystick with a twist-grip rudder control.
I always understood that Z is the throttle.
R is the rudder.

So that is cyclic, tail rotor (rudder), and throttle..... where's the provision for collective?

Hi Iced,

According to the Learning Center , on heli's the joy throttle (z axis) is the collective and engine output (throttle) is controlled by Ctrl+f2
