Posted: Mon Mar 01, 2004 5:42 pmYes AMD are much better for games. They have support for 3Dnow, and extended 3Dnow. They also have a better and more up to date architecture. Also it has quad technology which allows it to do more stuff per cycle than a P4.

Price = AMD.
Pick your priority then decide. ;)
AMD is the clear winner on price, if you are just gaming then go for the AMD, if you want fast MPEG encoding or fast video editing, then the Northwood 800fsb p4 (And its Prescott / Extreme brothers) is the best option.
You need deep pockets to buy intel..... ::)
