Sound problem in 2K2pro

I DL'd a great sound file for an EC 135 heli. When I play the individual .wav's in Media Player, the sound is fantastic. When I fly the heli in FS2K2pro, the sounds pure stink. I have a Sound Blaster card and have the FS sound quality turned all the way up. Adjusting the sound quality doesn't change a thing. What could be wrong? Why is the sound degrading when it goes thru FS and sounds great thru Media Player? Help!!!
