Microsoft Force Feedback Pro joystick problems

Postby ksjayhawks » Sun Feb 01, 2004 12:32 pm

I have a Microsoft Force Feedback Pro and I'm having troubles with it in Flight Simulator 2000 pro. The problem is that the joystick is not responding to the game or something. It is installed on my computer and I'm using Windows XP.  It doesn't even show up in the game where you select keyboard or joystick. If you know anything about this please help me out.  ??? ???
                          Thank You,

Sounds like you need additional drivers.....

Have a look at the M$ site http://www.microsoft.com/uk/sidewinder/forcefeedback2/  I'm sure you'll find the drivers you require, I've experienced similar problems with XP.

Does it work in other games...?

See if it appears here...
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Gaming Options > Controllers...
...is the "Status" OK...?
If so test it in Properties.
If not the Controller ID may need changing.

(This is in Win '98SE..)... ;)...

Another thing, check the fuse in the power supply, if the stick has no power, it'll appear installed, but, won't work - regardless of drivers!
