AGP??

Postby Craig. » Mon Jan 26, 2004 1:47 pm

ok guys i have looked through the manual that came with computer, fat load of good it did. Since i havent bought a new video card in years last was a voodoo 2 2000, 2 computers ago:)
I hear all these problems with AGP incompatibilitys, is there if my computer has an AGP slot from a visual inspection, what should i be looking for and so on.. Or is there another way to tell. The computer itself is only a few months old, i dont have all the details right now.

Here is a picture of an AGP slot!

Image
Its just slightly smaller than a PCI slot and brown.

To tell exactly whats in and going on in your computer I would download this Aida32. It will tell you what speed AGP your computer will support.

Be careful though on the visual inspection, for example my AGP slot is pretty purple!  ;) ;D

My AGP Slot is Yellow.

The AGP slot will ALWAYS be slightly offset to the PCI slots.
