Tablet PC's

Postby Craig. » Thu Jan 08, 2004 6:08 am

Okie dokie simple questions.
Does anyone here own one and what is it like if you do.
Second. Has anyone here used one, again what are they like. I am looking to start college in the US this Fall and i am gonna need a new laptop/tablet computer, and well to save space i am looking at mostly the tablet. I know since they are still new on the market they have their bugs but i am hoping by august september time the next generation of them will be avaliable with more improvements. I am also aware some dont have keyboards, and you have to buy one seperatly.
Anyway no going on from me, Just hoping someone has some info/advice.

some points to bare in mind, i am not worried about upgrading, it'll be for college work mainly, but would need to have internet access.
Secondly. games ability is not essential either.

A seperate keyboard IS the size of a laptop.....

So, unless you want to keep it on your person all the time, what's the point of the more difficult to use tablet?

there are tablet PC's with keyboards built in that just fold out, as they say its the next step for the notebook, and since i wont have room for a desktop, i might aswell go onto the next step of a laptop. plus the drawing board touch screen advantage may be very helpful for subject.
