I picked up a CH yoke and rudders today and was just wondering if anyone knows of any tweaks or tricks for it.  It seems to work great, but somebody may have some tricks up their sleeve.

I have the same setup on my system.  I prefer it over a joystick for FS9.

Tip #1:  I find that the CH yoke and pedals don't behave as realitically in combat simulators such as CFS3.  I use a Sidewinder when I want to use CFS3.  But for FS9, the CH yoke and pedals are fantastic.  Just MHO.  Some may disagree.

Tip #2:  Careful when clamping the yoke onto your desk.  The connection cable has a habit of getting pinched between the yoke and the desk if your USB ports are on the front of your computer case.   This happened to me just last night and it cut the cable insulation, almost damaging the entire cable.  That would have sucked.  

Other than that, they work great!  It would be awsome if CH products would come out with a yoke that has force feedback.

Enjoy your new controllers!  I know I have ejoyed mine for almost two years now with no problems or calibration required.

I just got the same set of controllers but my wife won't let me open them until Christmas!  I'm wondering, can you still use the rudders with a Sidewinder that twists.  I could see where a person might still want to fly with a "stick," such as the Cub or some older WWII A.C., but still have the benifit of the rudder pedels rather than twisting the joystick.  The same would apply to a Helecopter as well.

The CH pedals should work with a MS Sidewinder joystick.  They do on my setup.  I can't guarantee that they'll work for every joystick.

When I use the CH pedals with the sidewinder joystick, the pedals override the twisting action of the joystick.

Merry Christmas all!  I finally got to hook up my CH Yoke and Pedals and I gotta say...I Love Em!  I think I need to "fine tune" the sensitivity a bit.  Seems to be a lot of "slack" in the yoke.  Don't know much about the adjustments so if anyone has any simple instructions, I'm all ears.  Otherwise, I'm sure I'll figue it out.  Now my Cessna 140 seems more real!  Happy New Year all!

I just posted a question to others re the sensitivity on the CH goodies. Yep, they are great, but seem awfully sensitive to me-or my flying sucks!

I have the sensitivity set very low and Null about 1/2 way. But my straight and level looks like this ~~~~~ :-/
