After tons of reading and searching the net I Finlay got my saitek x45 to work the way I wanted it to in fs9. BUT I still can not get the mouse function to work, on the throttle of this joystick there is a small stick hat that is supposed to work as a mouse and a button next to it that is supposed to work as the left click button. I can not get this to work! Does any one know how i can make this work. I AM NOT COMPUTER SAVVY!
I also have a problem logging in. This account (SAILSAIL)  is not my account I just created it to ask I question about the joystick, I have anoter account which a registered here last spring under the email FUNNYSAILBOATS@HOTMAIL.com (that is my email ;)) I forgot my user name and password, and to find your password you have to know your username....

sorry for rambling on and on and on....

Make sure that you have installed all the drivers on the CD.  Go into the programming bit and scroll down until you see the "mouse" entry.  There is a little arrow pointing to the right, click on this and it will give you the option of turning it into a mouse that is recognised by your PC.

All three of the POV hats can be programmed in this way as well.

Wow, you can do that?  lol  I've had the X-45 for almost 2 years and didn't know that.  haha

I've got the X-45 going into a USB port, of course, with an optical mouse going into the mouse port.  Out of curiosity, what's the purpose of using the X-45 as a mouse? ???

Your thumb sits on the mouse bit whith your hand resting on the throttle.  You don't have to move your hand to use the mouse.  Useful for IL2 where you use the mouse to look around.

Oh, that makes sense.  Thank goodness Will is around to bail me out on occasion.
