....Asus 9600XT .... its a fantastic improvement .... 4 x A/A and  8 x Anno on  in heavy 3D clouds  still getting a smooth 20+ FPS .... its great ... before hand it was jumpy and around 2 - 6 FPS ....  the only niggles are the flicks in the screen when adjusting something (using Alt to get the menus) and when I come out my desk top colors have reverted to defaut ( a bit dark) ... (I have created and saved a named set up) .... it appears to only be FS 9 that does this? .... whats going on .... I am using catalyst 3.9 driver and  did the clean thing, before I did the clean thing and was running the driver that came with the card the flicks were bad .... I loaded 3.9 over the top and they sort of dissappeared ..... I had two drivers listed so I did the clean and it seems slightly worse ! ?   .... did I do it right? ..... it seemed to know what screen resoloution and colour depth I wanted ?  .... should I do it all again ? ....  other threads touch on this but there is no definitive answer ?

maybe it's because of the drivers?
i use the omega drivers (based on cat. 3. and don't have those problems.

.... Omega _2496c driver has solved everything ..... thanks .... its is so good now - so smooth with decent fps .... I'm very impressed  .... now to play !
