You wouldn't by any chance have onboard AC'97 Codec

as your soundcard?

Even if you have an addon soundcard, if your

motherboard has onboard sound, you may not be able

to use your force feedback, even if the onboard sound

is disabled.

Apparently, the midi port handles the forcefeedback

channel on Gameport MS FFB Sidewinder 1 sticks.

I have the above stick, it's easiest just to unplug the

power connector from the stick and fly with no forces at all.

I have tried everything to get it to work, but it refuses.

Thank's Congo,

And Yes, I do have ac 97 sound whch is disabled.

I bought an add-on sound card in order to get a gameport.

With the other ms flight sims I have no problems at all with force feedback. Only cfs3 gives me problems.
Which makes me think it's software related.

Is this the case with you ie, do you get f fback with fs2002, 2004 etc?

Thanks Havoc.

If what you're getting is heavy vibration and no centering in FS2002 or FS 2004, that's the glitch that was in it from new (read the handbook).  If you have FS2002, you can go the options/joystick calibration/forces/ok/ok route every time you boot up but I've just found that in FS2004 that only fixes the glitch until you return to the FS screen.  Pity that M$ didn't sort that one out before they marketed it!

Hi shedman,

Regarding your reply. My joystick is the ffback 1 not 2
It works fine with 2002 and 2004.

Only cfs3 makes me  >:(,  ???,  :-[,  :'(
