Anyone sufferred from Noisy Springs!! I use a CH Yoke which suffers from creaking, clanging springs. particularly at the extreme ends of elevator and pitch. Any solutions please? I've thought about taking it apart to either grease the springs or replace them which I believe you can do but would appreciate any tips before getting my screwdriver out! Cheers

No problem i think. just watch out for those springs coming off the things which hold them in place.
My logitech wingman makes weird noises too

Does it have graphite bars or optical stuff for readout?
graphite bars tend to make the position slider dirty, causing it to have a longer contact range (less % of maximum, spikes near center)
Optical stuff stays clean as long as it doesnt make direct contact with surfaces with body fat on it. that makes the rollers dirty

Thanks guys. I've had the yoke for nearly a year now and I've been pleased with it. I had to search around for a good price because I bought the pro pedals at the same time. Eventually settled on a company in Germany. I've had no problems apart from the spring issue. I'm currently taking flying lessons in a C152 and logged about 4 hours so far. The yoke and pedals give me that bit extra realism which helps me get the feel of the real thing - who says flight sim doesn't help when you're actually sitting in that left hand seat?? Not sure about the bars I think they're graphite. Anyway, I think I'll take the plunge and have a look inside. 8)
