My oldest computer was a Mac LCIII with a Moterola 66mhz processor. My one before this was a PentiumII 233mhz. I'll probably buy a bay freezer cooler and install an Athlon XP2000, the highest my board can take.

How do you get it running a pinch faster? Well, DON'T! Not unless you have a liquid cooled system or else you run the risk of damaging the CPU. I would not recomend overclocking of any kind unless you know what your doing and have an advanced liquid cooling system. Anyway 2.54ghz is a lot faster than mine so you should be happy.

Posted: Thu Oct 16, 2003 8:18 pmactually, you can overclock with just fans, but you need a really good heatsink, and a bunch of fairly high powered fans... of course... your computer will sound like an F-16...

Intel Celeron Sct 478, 1.7ghz - 2.2ghz with a little tweaking despite crap mobo !!!!

Well, let me put it like this, I'll be upgrading to a 2.6 p4 hopefully at christmas......
Try a Celeron Cpu instead of your P4, you'll want that p4 back soooo much !!!!! ;) ;D
