TV Tuners vs Video Capture Devices

Postby Iroquois » Sat Sep 20, 2003 10:04 am

I have tons of TV shows and movies on video tape that I'd like to put on video CDs. The question is, what's the best way to go about doing this. I've head that some video capture devices aren't very good. On the other hand, I can use a TV tuner to do the same thing but also record shows. I don't want to buy an All-In-Wonder, I already have a good vid card. What's the best way of going about this?

I'm not sure what works best as I have not used a video capture device.  I do however have an ATI TVWonder tv tuner card in my current system.  Cost me 45.99 at Wal-mart, and I can watch tv record tv, copy other formats such as VHS, and such with ease.  For anyone looking around for a tv-tuner I would recommend it...

I was looking at that one but with the problems I had with ATI, well that's why I posted this to begin with.
