LCD Flat Screen

Postby Tchkinjiu » Wed Aug 27, 2003 6:16 pm

I have heard from a friend who recently got a new computer with a Flat Screen Monitor. I personally think they look pretty good, but he said the gaming on it kinda mess up around the sides? like blur, or stretch, or something. Is this true?

Hi
Yep
unless its under 16ms Response time .Most of the cheaper LCD are around the 20ms and above,I think the top of the range are around 12ms.Still think a flat screen crt is a better bet for gaming unless you are really strapped for space or needs to be  moved all the time

I have a 17" NEC Multisync LCD1700V flat panel and works perfectly for me. The visual enhancement between this and my old 17" CRT is astonishing. I experience no blurring anywhere at anytime. Love it!!

Don't know anything about this stuff, but I have noticed that the Boss in an Office that I do some work for has a 17" flat screen monitor.
It seems to my eyes that if there is any kind of light reflecting on the screen, like sunlight or even fluro or plain globes, the pic seems to go quite 'dull'.

Maybe he just has a cheapy, but it's put me off.

You can shine a torch (flashlight) at my old fashion AGP and can still see everything pretty well.    ;D ;D ;)
