Problems starting computer

Hope you all can advise me here,when I try and start the puter it has a nasty habit of goin into safe mode ,switching completely off (power) or i get this,windows protection error.

Ive done several format,s partitioned the Hd ect it,s really annoying once its running its ok.Any advice cheers

yeah other day i got the windows protection error... was after i installed frontpage and i had to restart...strange i just left it for an hour or so cold then booted her up she was fine...sounds like something is screwed up in the boot up process

get an new PSU just in case... they tend to die slowly at first, but suddenly stop completely
