Multi Monitors
Posted: Mon May 05, 2003 12:49 amI'm about at the point where a whole new rig is being considered. My stuff is old and my kid needs a computer anyway so I'm giving him mine and he'll need a monitor as well so there goes my trusty old NEC 17" multisync.
I figure as long as I have to get all new stuff, I may as well consider everything including multi monitors. As I see it, the only way to go would be 3 monitors; one in the middle and one on each side. Just 2 monitors with a big ugly seam down the middle just won't get it. So what I'm considering is multi 17"s. If I don't do a multi setup I will at least get a single 24". I see that since the popularity of LCDs, big CRT monitors have come down on price from $700 plus to around $450.
Has anyone here done multi monitors and is it worth it, ie. Would you really do it all over again?
