New Joystick Tweaks. Looking for tips.

I just installed a Logitech Wingman Strike Force 3D joystick. This is my first FF stick. It seems a little jerky. It helped some to turn down my sensitivity and set all my dead zones to 0 but does anyone have further advice on tweaking it for the most realistic FF experience with FS2002 Pro.?

Just to add to your plight, I just got back into FS after some time (2 years) and my Wingman Force 3d joystick also seems really jerky on FS2002 as if the mechanics were rough (like a bearing on a motor or something). Didn't seem like this before to me.....
Tried to take it apart and it seems to be built to stop this....any advice out there??
