Widescreen TFT for FS2002?

Postby Fredman » Sat Mar 29, 2003 3:14 am

Does anybody have personal experience of the Apple 17" Widescreen TFT monitor (shipped with the 1GHz IMAC SUPERDRIVE)?
What are the advantages (over a 19" CRT for instance) and drawbacks (response times of a TFT?). Would it be better/worse/indifferent for the FS2002?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have seen widescreen apple monitors in Apple computer stores and they look quite nice. Problem is that these monitors are not PC compatable. However there are some widescreen monitors for PC. (I think Panasonic has one) I think only DVDs are in widescreen format right now so I don't think owning one would make a difference.

Orenda635 Thanks for your reply. I think you are right, not much point in going for widescreen. I think I'll go for a 19" CRT monitor.

If you can afford it, LCD flat screens are very nice. My dad has a 17" LCD and I must say that they are just as good as picture tube screens.
