Graphics Card

Postby Shadowcaster » Thu Jan 19, 2017 6:26 am

At the moment I have a 1 gig GTX 460 Card and am considering getting a second hand 2 gig GTX 760. I know FSX is more of a processor intensive program but will I see much improvement with with the 760. My system is an i5 2600 Overclocked to 4.3 ghz with 16 gig of ram.

Cheers
Rich

Rich, Without doing anything else, I "upgraded" from a "GTX 550TI X 1gig" to the "GTX 760 X 2gig" about two yrs ago, and still running.

I found a marked improvement. All round smoother and more capable.
I would certainly recommend the GTX 760. ;) Do a clean driver install, and run Nvidia inspector.

Here are my Nvidia Inspector settings if it helps you any.
