Hello guys,

I would like to buy the Saitek Pro Flight Cessna Trim Wheel but it seems out of stock everywhere, since months and nobody is able to inform about a certain delivery time.

If someone of you owns one, new or used but in a very good condition, I would like to buy it, if available.

Thank you :D

I had a post a short time ago asking why much of the Saitek flight sim equipment was either unavailable or at a very high price.

It turns out that Mad Catz, the owner of the Saitek brand, was/is having money problems.

Doing a spot check just now, I see a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke with Three-Lever Throttle (PZ44) for sale on Amazon for $540.75.

I have a suspicion that all the common flight sim equipment has sold out, and what IS in stock, is basically the lesser wanted items. Once they're sold out, I doubt that they'll be made anymore.

For instance, I was thinking of buying a Saitek yoke back in November. No sales anywhere, and most companies didn't have them in stock.

Hopefully, I'm wrong, but you might want to get what you can, if you can.

Heck, I may sell my stuff and retire to Tahiti.

I am afraid you are right: what we are able to buy at the moment, are just items left in stock and they will not be produced anymore.
About the Saitek Joke, I recently bought it (Cessna version, without the display on the joke) on Ebay for a decent price of about 200€.

I think that we have only the alternative to buy Pro Flight™ Multi Panel which has a small pitch trim wheel. Probably is better than nothing.

None of my Saitek stuff works with Win 10, including trim wheel and throttle quadrants. I have yet to find any Win 10 drivers for it that actually work.

Now I am using a CH Eclipse yoke which has trim wheels and thumb pedals built in.

First thing to do is uninstall ALL Saitek drivers.

Then try SPAD.neXt.

But sometime in the next few weeks there should be a VERY significantly improved release.

Don't let SPAD.neXt scare you - It's very powerful, but you can get full use of both Saitek, and other USB controllers, while using it at it's simplest settings.

You can also get a full access, 5-6 day trial.

If you use any of the high end PMDG or A2A aircraft, SPAD.neXt can control them through the Saitek equipment too.

Just remember - First thing to do is uninstall ALL Saitek drivers.

Here's a simple search on SPAD.neXt for "Windows 10".

The important part is - "Yes, SPAD.neXt is Windows 10 compatible." from the developer.

What do you think?

Frankly, it looks like a good deal. Get it! :D

I notice that the other Saitek Pro Flight equipment on their site somewhat matches the higher prices elsewhere, but it looks like they do have Saitek stuff in stock.

Goal: Bring trim wheels comparable with Saitek flight simulators back to life without paying $400 on eBay to get an old used one!
[/b][/size]
[/b][/b]I've looked everywhere for Saitek pro flight trim wheels and I can't find them in stock anywhere. I've called hundreds of stores and manufactures trying to get any with basically no luck. I even got in contact with Mad Katz and asked them to do a small production run of the trim wheel so we'd finally be able to have complete flight simulators but I was turned down.

Sooo... I'm turning now to my (limited) understanding of electronics, to create a replica trim wheel.

I'll continue to post as the project develops.

Please let me know if you'd like to get one. It will help me figure how many to make in my first production run.

I've 3d printed a good portion of the wheel. (still working on some of the internals)

The code for the software is started but still has a bunch of bugs. I'm not that familiar with it so a friend of mine from Spain is helping me get it ironed out.

Here's a pic of the last 3d print:Image

Cheers!

Glad I invested in a CH Eclipse yoke before the prices went crazy – it has trim wheels built in. The sim controller market has become a huge rip off now that the money men have cottoned on to it! :(

VERY impressive! Hope you get the bugs resolved.
3d printing is something with a phenominal potential. I've been thinking of getting one but think I'll wait a bit as they are developing so quickly
