Print Screen on iMac keyboard with XP

Postby Alex-1968 » Wed Jan 27, 2016 3:59 am

Hi everyone,

I am using FSX on my iMac where I have WinXP too. Works very fine except when I want to take a picture of my screen, because my keyboard is for iMac and it doesn't have the Stamp/R Sist key. I have searched the net to find a solution but none of them seems to work. Any idea how to make a screen capture with that keyboard?

Thank's for your answer Fozzer :D

Yes, they are the instructions how to make a screen capture, I knew them already. Problem is that I am using a iMac keyboard with WinXP.

Meanwhile I've found this application: http://getgreenshot.org/downloads/
It allows to make a screenshot just by using the mouse. Just tested, it works

Indeed!!

You know... I am planning a FSX world tour with my Mooney Bravo, so I will hit many airports around the globe and I wanted to take pictures of the most beautiful places, to create a sort of flight diary. When I realized that I couldn't make photographs I was like HEY!! How can I tell the others that I survived?

P.S.: Ingenuity? Nah.. I'd rather call it genuinity.

The longest distance I ever travelled in my FS 2004/2004/FSX, over the course of a few days, was travelling the length of "Route 66" from Chicago to Los Angeles (Santa Monica) in my trusty, default, Beech Baron 58, stopping off at airfields and and posting the details and screen shots on the Forum, en-route.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Route_66

Now, as a change, I would just like to travel the same route on a nice, comfy, Harley Davidson Ultra Glide Cruiser.... .....

...in my wildest dreams!.... ...!

I love exploring!..... ...!

Paul, I think I know what are you talking about because during the August of 1999, with my brand new wife, I spent my honeymoon travelling from NYC to LA, along 35 splendid days. I was not driving a Harley Davidson but a rented Pontiac Grand Prix (or similar, I can't remember exactly). For two young italians, that was a real exploration, in a far land which we had only seen on TV. We still remember those happy days and we always promise to make it again, one day or another.

Most/all of my Flight Sim days for the past 18+ years are spent touring the Pacific West, South-West, and Mid-West USA, through the most majestic scenery, California (Yosemite Nat Park/Owen's Valley) , Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah (Bryce Canyon and Zion Nat Park).

All the places which I am now so familiar with, and watch on the You-Tube (Eagle Riders) Harley Davidson motorcycle cruiser tours.

Even though I was born and live in England, I know the West Coast USA like the back of my hand...including all those Hollywood Cowboy Film locations!

My trusty Cessna 150 Aerobat and my Maps now take me to places that I have longed to visit in real life!

"Flight Simming" is an intrepid explorers dream!
