Nvidia Surround (5760x1080) and older sims....

I have three 24" 1920x1080 monitors running in "surround" mode meaning my desktop is spanned over all three at a resolution of 5760x1080 in FSX (after applying a tweak to FSX.cfg) it works beautifully but I'm getting nowhere with older sims like Combat Flight Simulator 2 (CFS 3 works in this mode just fine).

I've tried editing CFS2'a cfg file to my resolution but it just crashes when I try to launch a flight, the menus work though.

I'm presuming the problem I have is such large widescreen resolutions were unheard of in the heady days of CFS2 and thus it's not supported.

Does anybody know of a workaround or do I have to disable surround and somehow configure CFS2 to utilise my three monitors as single screens as opposed to the image being spanned across the three as such.

Any help appreciated.

I've done a bit more tweaking and have discovered I can span CFS over two of my three desktop displays (so long as I only select two of the three monitors when configuring Surround) at a resolution of 3840x1080 without issue but still no joy with three....

Whilst the spanning over two is good it doesn't really work as the centre of the display - my crosshairs sights - are exactly in the join (biezel?) which isn't much use.

Can't for the life of me understand why it won't span over three screens.

I'm having no issues spanning other titles (GTA V, Battlefield 3 & 4 etc) just CFS2 :/
