Hi this is Jarrett, and i have the saitek multi panel and the led screen does not work that well. All the buttons work but for the led screen to work i always have to unplug it and plug it back in and it will light up. I am on windows 8.1. Anything will help.

Thanks!

Is it plugged directly into your computer, or a un-powered hub?

To follow on Airmail's line of thought, I was in contact with Saitek/MadKatz when I first got my panels because I was having a few problems.

Whilst, in my opinion, it shouldn't make a difference, they suggested plugging the panels into a rear-mounted USB port and not using any hubs or extensions. They insisted that it should be plugged directly into the mainboard.

And lo and behold, using the rear ports in combination with the SPAD driver has given me a rather nice run of stability and good functionality.

Because the rear ports in my PC aren't especiacally easy to get to and because, when not in use, my yoke sits off to one side and needs to unplug, I have run two (very short) extension cables from the back of the PC which sit neatly atop the tower so I have two rear mainboard slots pointing out the front for me.

Good luck, and let us know if this doesn't work se we can try and think of something else. Alternatively, if we can't help, check with Saitek. I'm sure they'll attempt to help.

Regards,

Rob.

If the screen on the Saitek multi panel is dim then it may be that it isn't getting enough power.

Try plugging it into a different USB port on your computer. The farther away from the one you're using now the better.

You may have a bad USB controller on your motherboard that isn't putting out the power needed to light up the LED lights.
