Hi all.

I am about to get some peddels and have determined on Saitek since I have the other saitek flight systems but I do not know what peddels to get. Are the Cessna peddels worth the extra money? Has anybody used them? Any info would be much appreciated.

Joe

I'll agree with Jetranger, the Combat Rudder Peddles are probably are the best of the Saitek line. I had a very hard time not buying them when I was looking for peddles.

I have the standard Saitek Rudder Peddles, myself.

At the Air Mobility Command Museum in Dover, Delaware I used the Ch Product Rudder Peddles in their C-47 cockpit/flight simulator. Not bad at all, even if they don't look as good as the Saitek stuff.

From my experience it doesn't matter all that much. For the most part they just sit there under your desk. You use them. End of story.

What did matter was when I suddenly realized, one day, that I wasn't even thinking about using them. They had become an unconscious part of landing an aircraft.

It may sound strange, but when I'm coming in for a landing I'm as focused on that landing as if it really mattered.

You've made up your mind to get them, and that is the biggest plus for you. They were very low on my list at first, but now I consider them to be in the top 3 for anyone who really wants the most from flight simming.

The actual Reason I really purchased those Saitek Combat Rudder peddles is because I seriously do get into Flying Helicopters often enough, and it makes a really really huge difference when Flying Helicopters / Choppers, being able to actually have much better control than just a Joystick or keyboard, especially when / if ya wanna Hover around at a stand still over an object or trying to land on a ship or on top of a building landing pad high a top a sky scraper , the rudder peddles make a huge difference with the heli's !!

Thank you very much...

I agree that they are a necessity...espectially with using a yoke. I used to have the X-52 and it had a twist axis for the rudder that allowed for helo flying and tail dragger flying. But now with out that its practically impossible.
