I understand most on this forum are now FSX users given times have changed in terms of hardware. However my question is completely different given my current situation being I am travelling overseas and will be working overseas regularly with my job, as such I need a notebook to get some valuable simming time in, between leisure and work time.
My mission on this one is to simply find a notebook/laptop only to be able to take FS9 (Not interested in FSX for a mobile PC).
Now I've took the plunge and already bought an ASUS G73SW notebook with the unfortunate "gimping" Best Buy version of the GTX 460M (1GB). Only reason I bought this is because I got it at an insanely low price including a fitted SSD drive and two warranties which cover me for 2 years. Throw in a bunch of freebies like a second 750GB 7200RPM HDD and laptop bag and I was sold. This was only supposed to be very budget like laptop to simple use FS9 on the go nothing more permanent in it.
Now down to the question, I hope some would be kind enough to chime in and just tell me exactly what kind of performance I can expect with FS9 + Addons on this mobile rig as I am not too well up with mobile PC's, Desktop is a different story though. Thank you
