That is wakeup mode which looks to me to be set for a USB network adapter to tickle the system remote (from the net or LAN and wake it up. I have seen some strange things in BIOS settings that can cause problems/results

What are the other options with that setting... just USB/S3 and disabled?

If thats all there is you can disable that but I do not see it as a reason for the issue. but, as I said, I have seen some real strange winners over the years in BIOS designs.

The other setting are:
PS2 keyboard power on
PS2 mouse power on
RTC alarm resume

I also had a look at the BIOS version. At the homepage of my computer there is an update and all I had to do was enter the serial number of my computer, but it is with a warning covering a "1394IEEE" port. BIOS update
Not knowing what they are on about I will leave well alone. My understanding of BIOS updating it is very easy to end up with an over sized bookend or door stop if it goes wrong.

that way all you have to do is touch a key and it fires up instead of hitting a button.

of course that is up to you.

I set the feature to the spacebar on my keyboard which my BIOS allows quite a few different assignments.

I am not seeing anything in that update which may be of benefit and you are correct, a BIOS flash can be dangerous.

You model is a desktop MS 7255 motherboard (which as memory serves is an MSI) correct?

What is the full model number of the computer?

I just went through all the tech docs for the older MSI motherboards at Medion.de. Nothing indicates an issue is present.

I think you are being bitten by one of the nvidia bugs the 8000 series cores have introduced Matt

I really wish I could help with this but the resume issue is one area where the list of possibilities is huge (no matter what adapter or board is in use) and the most likely cause is the nvidia driver in which they must address it directly, or, the OEm must address it from the BIOS for the newer video card, or both.
