The absolute max I have ever had it to was 595@1.39 but it would not hold it.

Will talk to you tomorrow, thanks again for the help

I forgot to take into account my memory runs 1T and much lower timing. That would place the difference in memory between our systems at about 74% and not 94.

When I add it up just to get an overall picture, your rig runs about 73% faster in comparison.

Your 03 score is 61% higher

I re-ran 06 with my card at default but the system clocked, and the difference between your rig score and mine was 4064 compared to your 4890.

That one is strange because it only shows a 20.3% increase between the two systems and is out of line with the math. It is also possible that is where 06 is showing its cheat. It places so much focus on the latency of the memory and CPU (1T, low CAS and core 2 favor) that 2 AMD systems, one which may run much faster than the other will not show the same increase as compared to the hardware it tends to favor.

I do have the update for 03 but the 06 pro version I am using is 1.0.1

I just checked and the most recent 06 version is 1.1

When I get a chance I will get the updated version of 06 and try the test again to verify something in the version I am using may be different from yours.

I suspect the 06 test simply likes to put AMD systems in one class and Intel systems in another since the Core2 latency on the memory contoller is what gives that processor its edge. The 03 scores jive at +61% but I find it very, very hard to believe your new DDR2 PCIe 7950 GX2 rig is only 20% faster than a old DDR rig in the rendering abilities that 3DM06 tests.

I installed the 1.1 3DM06 update and in review of the readme, there is a System Development Kit than must be installed to use some of the image tests:

(last item in the list)

System Requirements
DirectX
