Ok. How about this setup....
Dell XPS 420
Intel Core 2 Q6600 Quad Core (8MB L2 cache, 2.4 GHz, 1066FSB)
Vista Home Premium With Digital Cable Support
3GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz - 4 DIMMs
320 GB 7200RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s, 16MB cache
Dual Drives: 48x Combo + 16x DVD+/-RW w/ dbl layer write capable
768MB nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX
Don't need a monitor
Don't need speakers
Didn't need a card reader (thats on my printer)
Went with integrated 7.1 Audio instead of a card. (If I want, I'll take my Audigy out of my current system as it is what I did when I built the 8400, I took it from the one I built)
I took the advice of leaving the RAM alone as it was stated in this thread that Vista capps at 3.
The power supply is out of my hands at the moment but as it has a 1 year warrenty I figure when that is up I can upgrade it myself. I think 425 Watts should be ok for now. Other than my X52 I won't really have anything other than my monitor and the speakers plugged into it. Everything else will stay attached to this system.
Another goal I have for this new rig is to keep it as streamlined as possible. Only what I need to fly the way I did in FS9 and a few other games like Crysis and COD4. I do not want the clutter I have on this one. The cleaner the better.
So what say you to this setup lads? I eagerly await your replys. In the meantime, Think I'll step on over to the COD4 servers and get in some trigger time with my brother.
