Any, company dosn't matter. It depends on speed vs price, and currently intel wins.
Mainboard: Asus P5K-Premium, CPU=Intel E6850 @ x8x450fsb 3.6ghz, RAM: 4gb PC8500 Team Dark, Video: NV8800GT, HDD: 2x1Tb Samsung F3 RAID-0 + 1Tb F3, PSU: Antec 550 Basiq, OS: Win7x64, Display: 24&

AMD still has the best performance to cost ratio.

Care to share how you came up with that assesment?
Case in point.
Core 2 Duo E6700 = $501

AM2 FX-62 = $811

The Conroe is $300 cheaper, and still outpreformes the AMD processer. Its the same across the board between AM2 and Core 2.
Cheers
Cameron

Not the processor, but on the total config AMD is cheaper. DDR2 aint the cheapest stuff around, but that will change in a few months.
