My 20.1" View Sonic has no dead pixels. It's a bit pricey at $800 but you have to pay for quality. The 16ms response time produces no trails, ghosts, or any other undesireable effects. MY desktop and game resolutions are set at 1600 and the picture is sharp and clear. I would NEVER go back to a crt monitor.

Also I  just purchased a 32" Sharp Aquos flat panel TV for my home entertainment center.  Awesome unit.  Love it.

Not for nothing did I get my 19inch CRT monitor, no dead pixels, supports much higher resolutions than my mates TFT, and it cost me

As that may be, but when I go to a LAN party I dont have to lug around a 50lb monitor. I also dont have to worry about headache from the CRT.

Cheers

I don't have such hassles, I use the web to play on-line, I don't get headaches from the CRT (interestingly, many of the girls in my works offices do, and they use TFT's!) and, if I was going to goto a LAN party (doubtful, my partys are not ,usually, computer related) I'd take a decent laptop.

I'm not sure whether my old CRT or my new TFT is causing me more irritation. I think the TFT justs nips it cause I keep straining my eyes looking for dead bloody pixels! ;D
