I've had both Nvidia and ATI. I favor ATI currently for the simple reason it seems to give a better picture. We go back and forth about 110 fps versus 103 fps, but in the end, that matters little. I'm not even sure why we do benchmarks anymore. What game can a high-end card not handle at decent framerates?

Thats not exactly true. Nvidia also holds the crown for image quailty. Their cards support pixel shader 3, which amoung other things, supports High dynamic range lighting. HDR is a lighting technique that can enhance image quality greatly. More info here:

Nvidia's 7800 GTX also supports transparent supersampling. This also offers an image quality boost and makes things that are normally jagged like chain link fences look smoother. More can be read about it here:
