I've been using the X45 for almost three years, and can I just say (again) how much I love it???
Great edit, Bob.

yeah i do that with computer games. Usually they come down in price 5 or 10 quid after the first week, San Andreas for example. but i just had to have it so i bought it for release price. Same will happen with the new Gran Turismo game i guess:)

same here ;D. and the thing is: when you see stuff on tv or magazines about people who camp out in front of shops before some release date, u think "damn, that's just sad". but when san andreas came out i sure was the first one knocking on the store window in the morning ;D.
yup, same will probably happen with gran turismo ::)

If you use the CD and open in manually in windows explorer there's a complete manual in HTML format which gives explantions on how to use the profiler etc...

It was a lot easier after I found it!

Cheers,

Thx again Charlie,
As a sole user of PC & only fs9, is there any advantage using profiler versus the fs9 Assignments?.

Found it difficult, I tried many times to split Rotary 1 wheel for aileron L/R Trim but could not suceed.

Rotary 2 by installation default trims the Rudder; usefull for T/Off Xwind.

But now I find the stick very heavy for arthitic hands, any way to lighten it, like the throttle friction screw under the unit?                  ulindel

Mmm, tricky one that - I find it easiest to use on my lap on a large hardback book.

Profiler wise, I mainly used the FS9 assignments, but what I have done in the profiler is set on of the modes to have the throttle with idle at about 13%, and reheat at 87% an above (the two little detents that there appear to be). Below 13% I have reverse thrust...

In that way it appears quite useful..

I love my X45- lotta product for the money. Someone asked to see how to set up with one of these; see my earlier post:

So Charlie, I gather that you can use both the fs9 assignements and your profile at the same time.

Which key is used for reverse thrust?

By "heavy" I meant the movement of the stick (push pulling it) not its weight. The throttle has friction screw on its underside, and was hoping for a similar trick on the stick spring which is too strong, could do with a couple of coils less for me. Do I dare try though.

That's what I thought you meant. What I was saying with the book is that it helps distribute the force a lot more evenly, so should make it a tiny bit easier. The only other thing I can think of is maybe clipping the spring up slightly... ???
