why y'all screens so dark?

i've noticed that i take a lot of dusk/night pictures. now they show up fine onmy computer, but then i get compaints that they can't see it, it's too dark. it looks fine to me, so then why is almost everyone's screen so dark?

Well my CRT is going out, to see just about anything i have to tweak gamma to insane levels.

Your screen probably ain't adjusted properly.  Either that or everyone else probably has problems.

I have often times had friends and family that complain about photos I have sent them, they look great and well composed on my machine but not thiers.

I have also noticed that images that look great on the monitor I use on this comuter don't look no where as near as good on my other computer.

2) Take screen shots during mid-day flights.

Every time I view your pics I have to turn my lights out, turn the Brightness up to 100%, get my torch out and peer at my monitor to view them.... ...!

sorry, i was typing whatever came to mind. i actually dont remember posting this...

but now that i noticed, my brightness, sharpness, and contrast are at it's peak. so i tried the same at school, and i could barely make out my pictures.

so mabye, idk,i prefer sun up/sun down pics, that and because i guess i cant get anything good from a day pic. and night shots are pretty much out of the question anymore.

I have an LCD monitor. The funny thing is actually in reverse for me. Shots that look bad on my screen look good on my downstairs CRT monitor. This is why i get really picky about my shots. This monitor shows up every detail so its easier to see a bad photo, or a bad shot.

hehe, now i come from one of those towns were the sheriff drives a big 4x4 bronco from 1984, whaers a white hat with sweat stains. Great man, in the evenings he is usally found drinking the local moonshine. Gosh i love small texan towns, where if the cops know your daddy they dont even give ya a warning.
