FIPS from SAITEK

Postby Alienware » Sat Nov 10, 2012 6:26 pm

Just really depressed now. Re-wired all so that they all  have direct power plug in to my Alienware 51X. Have spent a bundle. FIPs worked for a short time now they do not... Went to Saitek re-downloaded drivers, no avail. My BIP, radio stacks 2ea, auto pilot panel with trim wheel, switch pnale with gear lever all work. Just the FIP's  almost a $1000.00 worth, help. Originally all worked as I added them to my system, and then all of a sudden, whosh, they were gone. They red lights still flash to each and every one, they do have power. Simvation die hard payer for three years. Just never bloged before...first time ever. ;D

did you attempt to remove the drivers manually? I had trouble with mine until I manually removed the driver and reinstalled (running 9 FIPS at the moment with all saitek products with the exception of the BIP).

If you need to open a case with Saitek for support GOOD LUCK, I had a multipanel that was dead on arrival. Fortunately the vendor I purchased it from allowed me to exchange it for a working unit after 7 days of waiting with no response from the support team.

I ended up getting a response after 10 days, but by then I had the replacement panel sitting on my desk and working much better.
