New pc??'s

Postby coalpedlar » Sat Oct 08, 2011 6:29 am

I've been looking for a new PC for FSX.  Anyone know of a good system, incl. monitor off the shelf for less than say, $1400?

I saw an HP at Sam's but don't know how reliable they are.  It had 1G dedcated video.

Any other suggestions?  I'd love to see a screenshot if you have a similar system.

Thanks.

you dont need a great computer to run fsx

Ever since when? :o

Maybe you wanted to say you don't need a GREAT computer, as in one with a pedigree, but a FAST one no matter who put it together? Or did you mean you don't need a great computer to run FSX BADLY? :-?

If so, you'd be right (on both accounts). :)

If so. :P

There is no such a thing as overkill. Only unworthy targets.

That is the first time I've heard anyone say that. It's almost refreshing, almost. And where I live it's a challenge to even find a decent graphics card for 2 to 5 hundred bucks.  :P

I would have to say that FSX runs much better than I expected on my comparatively low-end PC. If I'd believed all the doom & gloom merchants I would never have tried it.
