nHancer has confused me

Postby Sovien » Sun Aug 08, 2010 6:24 pm

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I recently updated my driver to the 197.xx driver. I've updated nHancer to the latest version as well. I've set nhancer up as close as I can to how I had it set up in it's previous version when I was running an older driver, but nhancer doesn't seem to be overriding anything. At the main menu, in the preview window, the plane slowly spinning around has all the ugly jaggies that we all hate.

I tried deleting the FS9 profile that came with the new version of nhancer, but since the 169 drivers nhancer wont allow you to delete them. I tried creating a new profile, setting up global & profile specific settings in nhancer for that new profile. Still, nothing is squashing these nasty jaggies.

Will I have to roll back my drivers to an older version, or is anyone using the 197 driver with any success in FS9?

All advise, is greatly appreciated.  ;)

I do not have access to my home PC so I can not tell you exactly what to look for, but go through the top tabs in nHancer.  Under one there will be something you can click on that says something along the line of "Overide game settings" or "Overide Nvidia settings".  Make sure that you have a check mark on this so that nHancer is overiding Nvidia and game settings.

Thanks Ida, actually I was able to get it working properly shortly after I posted this. As I said above, when I tried deleting the FS9 profile nhancer had preloaded, it wouldn't let me delete the profile. However, I overlooked a seperate window on the same page that shows the executable a profile has attached to it. So, all I had to do was select the profile, then go down to the next box and delete the exe the profile was set to. Once that exe was removed, I created my own new profile for FS9, directed it to the FS9 executable and it's all working as it should now. Good bye jaggies  :D
