WOW that's all i can say about that monster. I would be surprised and extremely ticked off to buy that and it not run maxed sliders at AT-LEAST 30 fps in the most system heavy areas. But i mean 2 processors and 8 cores?!?!?!?!? :o this should devore fsx! thanks for just putting me in debt. i want this computer now!

It's nice, but to be fair, I'd rather have a water-cooled i7 975 overclocked system with dual Radeon 5870 (or 5870x2 now known as 5900 when it comes out). That would run FSX better than the OP at less cost anyway.

What good would a 5870x2 do for FSX? Nothing a single 5870 or a GTX 285 can do already.

It's as good as a single 5870 in FSX and significantly faster in everything else. I use my PC for much more than FSX, so if I had an unlimited budget I would go with dual 5900.

As I[ch8217]ve seen firsthand with a 4870x2, no a dual GPU card is not [ch8220]just as good[ch8221] for FSX nor is it significantly faster in "everything" else.

And as far as I've seen in the majority of application benchmarks by every single source that is actually respectable - like ANANDTECH for example, a dual GPU card is usually significantly faster than a single card. It doesn't mean they're perfect, they have numerous flaws, but they are usually significantly faster.

You have quiet an awesome rig by the way.
