Hi,
Shut down any programs you don'd need before starting fs9

Play around with the hardware resolution settings but be aware if your running in windows mode or full screen.

The higher the res, the slower the frame rate can be. If in windows mode, for dual screen for example, the resolution is the settings you can do either from desktop, ie right click and select properties and setup your preferred res there or via control panel with the display icon.

If full screen the setting within fs9 on the options/display/hardware screen will be used.

I find if I have res high and have dense clouds, mine drops to around 18 but can get 24 ish and i don't think my spec is as high as yours.

Try a clear day, and no fog settings. I think there are so many settings within fs9 that can slow it down that you'll have to play around until it's fairly smooth.

Any lag on the flight sim is a no no.
May the Mynd be with you.
So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs.
