Partitioning for flight sim

Though the mechanics of partitioning a harddrive are fairly straightforward, I don't have a clue about the best way to separate and position the OS, FS9, Program Files and other files.

Hey olderndirt. I don't know your reason for partitioning, but Nick has mentioned that partitioning isn't the best idea for FS

Also, 500gb is a huge drive, especially for FS9. Why not just have the OS and FS9 on that drive with no partition, or have the OS on the 500gb and FS9 on the 250gb?
