Upgrade Video Card

Postby Bubblehead » Tue Jul 07, 2009 11:38 am

Presently I have two ATI Radeon 3870 video cards connected in a Crossfire configuration. It's barely adequate to support FSX at higher settings. I'd like to upgrade it using only one card.  What do you suggest I get that will have the best impact for the buck?

In order of price and performance, lowest first.

9800GT, GTS 250, GTX 260, GTX 275, GTX 285.

Since your crossfire, your currrent power supply should run them all.

Ozzy72:

Around $300.00. But it has to give me a much better performance than what I have now.

Could buy a GTX 285 for $325. VERY fast card, if you want cheaper then go for GTX 275 for $225. I am not sure if these cards require 8 pin connectors over 6 pin, however. If its 8 pin make sure to check it can run on your  power supply.
