Help XP system and CFS3 wont work

Looking for Help cannot get ms combat flight sim 3 to play on current computer.  Its an XP operating system 0n a 2.0 dual core computer with an AMD 64 processer 2 gbs ram.  The game freezes up and I have to push the off button to clear.  Tryed to use the compatibilities menu to make it compatiable with win 98 or ME system but the files read corrupted or missing.  Please Help.       Have the latest drivers for the Nvida geforce 256 mgs graphics card  even tryed to turn down the accellation on the graphics card but it didnt work.  thanks
